他以倒數的方式講述十點建言

10 Live off your parent as long as possible.
   儘可能不要倚賴父母之支援。(當然不要賴在父母家)

9  Pursue joy, not happiness.
   追求歡樂，不是追求幸福。

8  Challenge the known and embrace the  unknown.
   向已知世界挑戰，擁抱未知。

7 Learn to speak a foreign language;play a musical instrument, and play noncontract sports.
  學習一種外語，玩一種樂器，熱衷一項非衝撞性的運動。
   (contact sports像橄欖球、美式足球及兵上曲棍球)
6 Continue to learn.
   繼續求知。

5 Learn to like yourself or change yourself until you can like yourself.
  學習喜愛自我，或改變自我，成為自己喜愛的樣子。

4 Don't get married too soon.
   別太早結婚。(別忘了西諺「匆促成婚，悠閒地後悔一生」
   Marry in haste, repent at leisure)

3 Play to win and win to play.
  為成功而努力工作，努力工作以獲成功。
  (成功是目的,也是手段)

2 Obey the absolutes.
  相信絕對的真理。

1 Enjoy your family and friends before they are gone.
