2. Look for "Referral" or "Invited by". Shows a referrer → a code is already attached. Empty → no code attached; you can still try to add one.
3. Double check: App → Assets → Fee Rate. If your fee shows the standard level (e.g. Spot taker 0.1%) with no discount tier, most likely no code is active.

3. How to Add the Code (If You Havent Traded Yet)

This is the golden window: right after sign-up, before any deposit or trade.

On the App

1. Log in to the Bybit App.
2. Go to the Rewards Hub (profile icon → Rewards Hub) and look for an "Enter referral / invitation code" entry.
3. Enter BYOFFICIAL and submit.
4. Go back to Rewards Hub and confirm "Invited by: BYOFFICIAL" is displayed.

On the Web

1. Log in at bybit.com.
2. Visit https://partner.bybit.com/b/BYOFFICIAL while logged in — if the page prompts "Complete referral binding", confirm it.
3. Alternatively, check whether Profile → Rewards Hub shows a code entry field.
4. Confirm the binding is reflected in your account.

4. Can You Change a Code After Binding?

Straight answer: in principle, no.

• Bybits referral relationship is bound to your UID at sign-up. Once recorded, the system generally does not allow self-service changes.
• The only channel is customer support (App → profile icon → Support → live chat, or submit a ticket at bybit.com). Provide: your UID, registered email or phone, the reason, and the code you want: BYOFFICIAL.
• Even then, approval is case-by-case. If your account has deposits or trades, the chance is low but not zero — worth one polite, factual request.

5. Seven Reasons "Adding the Code" Fails

1. You already deposited or traded. The golden window has closed. Your only path is customer support.
2. A referrer was already recorded at sign-up (someones affiliate link cookie or a pre-filled code). You cant add a second one.
3. You clicked another referral link before registering. Bybit attributes the click, not the code you typed last.
4. IP or environment flagged. Sign-ups via VPN / shared IPs sometimes get the referral silently dropped.
5. Typo or extra space in the code. Codes are case-sensitive in some entries; check character by character.
6. Entry no longer exists. Bybit adjusts the interface over time; the entry may have moved to a different menu.
7. You waited too long. Some binding entries expire days after sign-up. The earlier, the better.

If all fails: contact support with your UID, registration time, and screenshot of the issue — ask explicitly whether a manual referral attribution is possible. If they say no, the honest answer is: you can register a new account (with a new email/phone) and attach the code correctly this time.
