Beginners often fail not by misreading BTC, but by not knowing how the order will fill: wanted to wait but filled early, wanted instant buy but order rested, set TP/SL but unsure when it triggers.

1. Fill is not instant after clicking
Order flow: submit → wait → match → fill. Order type decides price and condition.
2. Market Order
Priority is speed, not price. Matches best available order-book price.
3. Market advantage
Fast. Good for liquid markets and quick exit.
4. Market risk: slippage
Seen price 70,000, fill may be 70,005 / 70,010 / 70,020. Worst-price protection exists, but slippage still possible.
5. Limit Order
You set acceptable price. Fill immediately = Taker; rest in book = Maker.
6. Why Limit may not fill
Market may never reach your price.
7. Market vs Limit
| Item | Market | Limit |
|---|---|---|
| Core | fill fast | price control |
| Speed | fast | maybe |
| Risk | slippage | no fill |
8. Resting order
Limit not yet hit stays in book.
9. Resting orders use balance
Open orders, conditional orders and margin can reduce available balance.
10. Partial fill
Want 1 BTC, only 0.4 available → fill 0.4, rest waits.
11. Large orders need depth
Big market buy eats multiple ask levels; average price drifts.
12. Bid, Ask, Spread
Bid = buyer price, Ask = seller price, gap = spread.
13. Market condition matters
Calm market = tighter spread; volatile market = slippage and partial fills more likely.
14. Take Profit
Exit when preset price condition reached.
15. Stop Loss
Exit when original idea becomes invalid.
16. TP/SL not exact fill
Conditional order triggers first, then enters market.
17. Trigger ≠ Execution
Trigger Price starts order; Execution Price is real fill.
18. Conditional orders help discipline
Pre-set "if X then Y" instead of emotional decisions.
19. Open vs close orders
In futures check side, size, reduce-only, close position.
20. Futures extra risk
Leverage, margin, liquidation price, funding rate.
21. Liquidation is not Stop Loss
Stop loss should come before liquidation.
22. Avoid wrong order
- pair
- Spot/Futures
- Buy/Sell
- Long/Short
- Market/Limit
- price and size
- Stop Loss
23. Beginner practice
Small spot: see book → Limit → cancel → Market comparison.
24. Do not spam orders
Every order needs reason, fund limit, max size, cancel rule.
25. Fees and frequency
