上英文聖經課, 在馬可福音第十四章38節讀到:
Watch and pray so that you will not fall
into temptation. The spirit is willing,
but the body is weak.
耶穌和門徒到客西馬尼, 耶穌對彼得所說很有名的一段話:
總要警醒和禱告, 免得跌入誘惑;
你的心固然願意, 可是你的肉體卻軟弱了!
生活裡有太多的誘惑, 常常會令我們有所迷惘,
我們的良心固然會提醒我們要做正確的決定,
可是肉體卻用千百個理由來軟弱我們的行動,
這就是所謂的天人交戰吧!
課堂上老師分享幾個有趣的單字:
在50節: Then everyone deserted him and fled.
desert: 遺棄(v) desert: 沙漠 (n)
desserts : 點心 點心吃太多怕胖有壓力.
stressed : 壓力 (倒著拼點心就變壓力)
老師還提到Kiss這個字
Don't let a kiss fool you (別為一吻而失身)
Don't let a fool kiss you (別讓傻子吻上你)
家醜不可外揚:Don't wash your dirty linen in public.
