Maya press 3 can't see the smooth preview

To be honest
I don't know the reason why we can't see the preview.
But there is some way to fix this problem.
1.Creat a cube
2.Combine the problem polygon and the cube
3.Press 3 , and you can see the problem had fixed
4.At last, all you need to do is separate them and the cube
