警二分局說明，請汽、機車行經路口時謹記「慢、看、停」三口訣，接近路口減慢速度、隨時擺頭察看左右後方有無來車、遇有行人馬上暫停讓行人穿越道的行人優先通行；提醒汽機車駕駛人要養成守法觀念，才能減少路口事故發生。

警二分局指出，汽機車不停讓行人處罰新臺幣1200到3600元；汽機車闖紅燈處罰新臺幣1800到5400元；汽機車紅燈右轉處罰新臺幣600到1800元；行人未依規定行走行人穿越道處罰新臺幣300元。
