The chef told me they just got the beef at the airport today” K kept going, ”This restaurant is the best in town. Trust me, I always take my VIPs here.” “That sounds great. K, no wonder you’ve gained so much weight since you immigrated to Taiwan. Ha-ha-ha.” “You know, Congressman, these 50 pounds I’ve gained are nourishment from free world Formosa. It’s the best proof that a communist society will never win over the free world. Ha-ha-ha.” K patted his belly and smoothed his Hugo Boss shirt. “Don’t talk politics. That’s too serious. Let’s not ruin our appetites. Let’s enjoy the great wine and gourmet food. Cheers!” Lin toasted to K and the congressman. “That’s right. Let’s enjoy the meal as a pre-celebration of our success in the project!” K toasted to Lin and Chang and finished his third glass of Bordeaux.
