因應強颱尼伯特來襲，水利署從昨（6）日到今天上午，陸續啟動南部曾文、烏山頭、北部石門三大水庫提前洩洪或放水，預留滯洪空間容納尼伯特帶來的強降雨。另因颱風可能影響供水調度，新北淡水、雙和、基隆附近的高地地區，水壓恐降低，水利署提醒當地居民先儲水備用。

至於颱風來襲影響的供水問題，賴建信說，由於北市翡翠水庫自顧不暇，受支援的新北板新地區可能供水受影響，目前針對雙和、淡水、基隆中較高地地區，已提前預作支援供水措施，也提醒這些地區高地住戶要先儲水備用。

「既有的滯洪空間要再加大。」水利署副署長賴建信表示，南部曾文與烏山頭也先調節性放水或洩洪，目前這2座水庫蓄水都有9成滿。而苗栗鯉魚潭水庫則因滿庫，採自然溢流。

石門水庫原定昨天傍晚提前洩洪，後因考量水資源有效運用，延到今天上午實施。經濟部北區水資源局說，石門水位約242公尺，將透過排洪隧道排出，空出4,000萬噸空間，作為颱風的滯洪空間。
