The News was out last week. Stanford assured of itself with the 17th straight Director’s Cup before the season was even over. 

Stanford? The best NCAA athletics program in the country? For 17 years in a row?

Texas A&M won THREE national championships this school year, more than any other school in the nation. And it is ranked eighth? Stanford is No. 1.

Two years ago the same thing happened. Texas A&M won three national championships, more than any other school in the nation, and Stanford was No. 1.

In 2007, Florida became the first school ever to win the two biggest sports, football and men’s basketball, in the same year, and Stanford was No. 1.

In 2004, UConn pulled off the unprecedented by winning both men and women’s basketball in the same year, and Stanford was No. 1.

What’s your problem? Mr. Director? What’s going to take for you to realize there is something seriously f_cked up with your point system????
