There are major of Chinese in Chinese and three in Taiwan. They are mandarin. Hokkien(Taiwanese), Cantonese, Hakka and Wu. There are also many different of Chinese spoken in different areas in both countries. It is estimated that 900 million people. More than one-fourth of the world's population, speak one of these Chinese people view these languages as “dialects” but, although they have some similarities, they are mutually unintelligible.
