This is a planetary space suit prototype. We call it the Z-1 suit. It has a lot of mobility built into the lower torso, so it has a bearing here at the hip. This is David Scott’s space suit that he wore on his Apollo 15 mission. This suit is very, very dirty, and it’s good dirt. It’s lunar dirt. That is really what this suit was meant to work for: to allow the astronaut to really get down into the lunar dirt and also to move around with greater ease and more flexibility.
