近10年來「紅土之王」納達爾一面倒被看好在法網賽封王的絕對性預期已不再。威廉希爾（William Hill）、立博（Ladbrokes）兩大博弈網站開出很「絕對性」的最新封王盤口，帶著22連勝尋求在法網拚生涯「全滿貫」的球王喬柯維奇，是5月24日開打的法網男單奪冠最大熱門。
威廉希爾開出的男單前3封王賠率依序為喬帥1賠1.80、納達爾1賠3.75、莫瑞1賠9；立博則是喬帥1賠1.72、納達爾1賠4、莫瑞1賠9。這與1個多月前威廉希爾與立博都分別開出喬帥、納達爾同為1賠2.37、1賠2.50的奪冠賠率，有甚大差距。女單方面則是一致性的開出球后小威廉絲最熱的盤口。
日前獲「勞倫斯體育獎」最佳男運動員獎的喬帥，目前無人能擋，他在最近7站大師賽級別以上的賽事，包含巴黎大師賽、年終賽、澳網、印地安泉、邁阿密、蒙地卡羅以及剛封王的羅馬賽網賽，戰績是恐怖的37勝0敗。
反觀納達爾傷癒重返球場以來還沒回復最佳狀態，本季在最拿手的紅土賽場已輸了5場，這還是他近10年來首見，以至於他尋求改寫自己紀錄、爭取史無前例的法網第10冠，警報乍響。
