Fantasy & Reality

Fantasy was born to a rich family.  She did not have to
work too hard while young and she had everything
arranged by her parents. What more important is that she
was pretty and attracted many young men around her
including "Reality".

Fantasy was in love with her tutor when she was 15
up to 18 before entering University. The tutor was smart
young man seemed knowing a lot and obtained Chin-wa
scholarship to study in the States. That made fantasy
worshiped him like God knowing every thing.
She followed him to the States and finally married him
as perfect fantasy of love.
Fantasy's husband was smart and did have high IQ.
He obtained PHD degree and later-on another one.
It looked every thing was on their way of everlasting
happiness.
Not necessarily.

Her mother was paralyzed due to the stroke. She had
obligation to take care of her mother in the United States.
When Reality called her mother for good will
conversation her mother confined in a wheel-chair and
was crying on the other end of the line. She complained
about her son-in-law mistreated her of being a burden
to the family. Nothing "reality" could do to give her a hand.

The next thing Reality learned when he was in his business trip
to Taipei. Fantasy's mother passed away. Fantasy's mother
wanted her ash buried in Taipei together with her husband.
Fantasy's two brother came to see Reality in his Taipei Office.
They were too poor to have money for mother's funeral.
Reality gave it to them without hesitation.

It is quite logic after the sorrow Fantasy could lead a normal life.
Well, wait until I finish with the story of Fantasy.
Reality was in Glendale in midnight. There came the phone:
" Reality?"

"Yes. who is this?"

"Me, Fantasy. um...."
" What happened?" I heard whispering with uneven breathing
of crying voice it did not sound good.

"Calm down, don't cry and say it slowly. Tell me what happened?"

"My husband was fired for his inabiblities to associate with
co-workers and stayed home most of time. He beat me constantly.
My neck my arms and got all bruised."
"that is domestic violence. Call cops."

"I did."
" Well then what happened?"

"The judge told me to divorce him."
"So be it. You can live your own life."
" No, I can't."
"Why?"
"The judge said that I had to give him back $20,000 of his
share of down payment or the divorce will not finally settle."

"So...." I know here came the hard part.

"I do not have that kind of money. Elder Brother Reality. Please, you
have to help me out. Hummmmm" She was crying hard on the end."

" let me think about it...."
" I have no one to turn to. You are the only one. Humm......"

" Don't cry. I will send you that money. You may go to sleep now."

Admiration is not "love". Fantasy is tricky but not love.
Don't let love of Fantasy blind your vision.
