Today I joined a tour party of 40 which was organized by my wifes former colleagues, all retirees.   Our target was "Sapphire Spring" which is hidden somewhere in Shamao Mountain not far from University of Chinese Culture.

The spring, now is open to touring paties but not to individuals, is actually one of the water sources on the mountain that serving part of Taipei area, but the water is drinkable.  We walked downward about three hundred meters to the "spring", actually two faucets for tourists to fill the water with their vessels.  There is also a delicate cascade nearby.  When we doubled back, that was a task for a team of over 70 of age in average: trudging the slope upward, including 250 steps.  (FYI, there were two octogenarians without being propped by a cane, oh my goodness!)

In the noon, we had our lunch at a classy restaurant nearing the university, that some of my HS classmates who studied in the university used to called the district as "東交民巷".  You know what I mean.
