The other day, President Xi sent the congratulations to Dr Yang Zhengning (楊振寧）for his 100th birthday. (Actually Dr Yang is 99 years old now, but according to Chinese traditions, he is a centenarian already.)
I found one of the articles regarding the feats of Dr Yang, in which his classmate and good friend Dr Zheng Jiaxian(鄭稼先), the major founder of China A-bomb, wrote Yang in 1971, mentioning another great name: Ms. Joan Hinton (寒春), who had been a co-worker to Dr Yang in Manhattan Project for twenty months. But why did she quit the job as a promising physicist and run to China for revolution? Please read her legendary biography again at:
PS I have introduced her to you once in my previous writing, and the attached contains more detailed accounts about this great lady.
