Many, many years ago when I was still a young bachelor I had a crush on a girl, and after writing her several letters to express my affection I was rejected, ruthlessly. So with forlorn hope, in the one last letter I called myself "a spurned admirer". (I bet she should know the word "spurn", for she was then an undergraduate majoring English.)
Now you understand the meaning of "spurn", but I don't know if President Cai understood it when she saw Reuters use "Trump spurned" her implicit suggestion of seeking second Trump-Cai phone conversation and anticipating sales of F-35 fighters from US. Well, I guess one of the most important things for Cai to do is to fight a battle against Taiwan's ignorance, as well as hers. But my calling will be most likely a futile attempt because now Taiwan has long been in a state of "無知力量大".

Cai is a typical Taidu bigot, and she will not change her mind regardless any humiliation she may suffer. Retiredbum 於 2017/04/29 18:05回覆
