美國女子高球公開賽9日打完第2輪，曾雅妮以總桿147桿(+3)並列第48，里約奧運準國手盧曉晴，148桿(+4)並列第60，2人為10位台灣女將唯二晉級決賽的選手，也是曾雅妮連續9場淘汰後，連續2場晉級與本季第1場闖進大賽決賽，漸走出不順陰霾。

曾雅妮本季前15場出賽只有4場晉級，最佳成績為並列第60，且吞下11場淘汰，其中從四月初全日空錦標賽至六月底阿肯色錦標賽為止，更打出連續9場沒晉級難堪成績，直到上周波特蘭菁英賽為之前連續9場淘汰畫下句點，接著再於美國公開賽晉級，漸有止跌回升跡象。

她9日第2輪前9洞(球場第10洞至第18洞)打出1鳥0柏忌35桿，排名一度升至前30，可惜後9洞揮出0鳥4柏忌40桿，這輪以75桿(+3)交卡，雖最終退居並列第48，卻是本季第1次打進大賽決賽，對重拾信心具激勵作用。

第2輪從第1洞出發的盧曉晴，前4洞抓下3隻小鳥，總桿曾來到-1，惟後9洞受強風勢影響出現起伏震盪，在小鳥、柏忌、雙柏忌輪流打情況下，交出6鳥4柏忌2雙柏忌74桿，所幸有驚無險以吊車尾排名晉級。

首度參賽的韓國女將朴成炫，第2輪揮出66桿(-6)，以總桿136桿(-8)躍居領先。另兩位韓將梁熙英與首輪領先的李美林，同以138桿(-6)並列第2，「球后」高寶璟也靠著66桿攻上領先群，以總桿139桿(-5)與日本女將野村敏京並列第4，加入爭冠行列。
