台灣旅美左投陳偉殷因左手肘遭強襲球擊中，到今天才進行本季第2次先發，面對開季苦吞9連敗的勇士隊，陳偉殷前6局威風八面，只被敲出1安，率馬林魚隊取得3比0領先，但7局上遭遇亂流，被連敲3安退場，加上後援投手未能守成，終馬林魚以3比6苦吞主場3連敗，也讓勇士隊終於開胡。

本季二度先發的陳偉殷，前6局只被敲出1支安打，還飆出5K，只有1次保送，但投到7局上出現不穩，雖率先三振馬凱奇斯(Nick Markakis)，但接連被敲出3支安打，包括賈西亞(Adonis Garcia)的二壘打，先丟掉1分，留下二三壘有人局面退場，接替上場的菲爾普斯(David Phelps)雖造成貝克漢(Gordon Beckham)敲出游擊方向滾地球出局，但三壘跑者仍奔回本壘得分，也要算在殷仔頭上。

陳偉殷此役主投6.1局失2分，被敲出4安，飆出6K有1次保送，用了83球有54個好球，防禦率降至5.56，原本有望拿下本季首勝，卻因牛棚放火，與轉戰國聯首勝擦肩而過。

陳偉殷退場後，菲爾普斯度過7局上的危機，卻在8局上不穩，被敲1安與投出觸身球後退場，接替的納瓦洛(Chris Narveson)表現更糟，先被馬凱奇斯敲出帶有1分打點的安打，又投出觸身球後退場，隨後登板的莫里斯(Bryan Morris)則遭連續安打。勇士隊8局趁馬林魚隊牛棚不穩定，一舉打下4分大局，也奠定比賽勝基。
