又是畢業典禮的季節了…

每個學校在這個時後, 總會請個特別來賓來給畢業生们講些話

(所謂的"畢業演說" commencement address).

去年在畢業典禮上聽到了演說者給畢業生的一些words of wisdom.

趕緊找了張餐巾紙把它記錄下來…

Take time to work… It is the price of success;

(花時間認真工作…它是成功的代價)

Take time to think… It is the source of power;

(花時間去想…它是力量的來源)

Take time to read… It is the foundation of wisdom;

(花時間去閱讀…它是智慧的根基)

Take time to be friendly… It is the road to happiness;

(花時間對人友善…它是通往快樂的路徑)

Take time to love and to be loved… It is the privilege of the gods;

(花時間去愛與被愛…它是神給予的特權)

Take time to share… Life is too short to be selfish;

(花時間分享… 生命太短了, 沒有自私的餘地)

Take time to laugh… Laughter is the music of the soul.

(花時間笑…它是靈魂的樂音)

說到"畢業演說,”  忍不住提起 Steve Jobs 2005 年在史丹福大學的演說.  Steve Jobs 是Apple 電腦公司的創辦人之一(Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak).  現在他是Apple Computer and Pixar Animation (who did animation for the movie "Toy Story") 的CEO.

他在演說中講了他個人的三個小故事: 1. about connecting the dots, 2. about love and loss, and 3. about death (關於death 的小故事, 尤其 inspiring). 

Steve Jobs 只讀了兩年的大學 (只交了一個學期的學費).  三十歲時被他所創立的Apple Computer 解僱了, 所以只好捲土重來.  之後他又罹患胰腺癌.  他的三個故事都有很深的意義.In Mr. Jobs’ words, “Stay hungry and stay foolish!” [Great adice! It’s moment like this makes me regret (a little) that I ever left Stanford].
