Japan's "朝日新聞Asahi Shimbun" recently became interested in the private animal protection group "Animal Rescue Team Taiwan." They came to Taiwan especially to interview this group. They not only interviewed many volunteers, they even went with the volunteers to deliver dogs to Canada in the rain. They thought it was very interesting when they saw the reaction of Taiwan private animal protection groups and the people toward sick and 受虐abused animals. This is unheard of in Japan.

日本《朝日新聞》 近日對於民間動保團體「台灣動物緊急救援小組」感到興趣。他們日前專門前往該組織專訪。不只與多位志工訪談，也全程冒雨陪同志工護送犬隻飛往加拿大。他們認為，台灣民間動保團體及人民對傷病、受虐動物的反應很新奇，在日本從未聽過。

According to understanding, the Japanese believe that stray animals are the responsibility of the government, and they rarely hear about private groups that rescue animals. They are surprised about the process of saving, treating, and sending the stray animals overseas, as well as how 虐待動物的人animal abusers are published on the media and 撻伐bashed by all the people. They have never heard about this in Japan, and the Japanese find these topics very interesting.

據了解，日本人普遍認為流浪動物是政府的責任，很少聽見有類似的民間團體組織營救受難動物。讓他們感到驚奇的是從營救流浪動物、醫療到跨海送養，以及虐待動物的人會被登上新聞媒體、遭全民撻伐等事情。這些在日本都從未聽過，他們覺得這個議題很新奇。

"Asahi Shimbun" will talk about this topic as 專題報導a feature news story, and it will be published in the international section in "Asahi Shimbun" at the end of June. They say they want to introduce the care that Taiwan's private animal protection groups and the people have toward hurt and abused animals to the Japanese. They also want Japan and the world see the concern that many people in Taiwan have toward stray animals.

這個議題《朝日新聞》將以專題報導形式，於6月下旬刊登在《朝日新聞》的國際版。他們表示，希望能夠將台灣民間動保團體及人民對傷病、受虐動物的付出，向日本介紹。並讓日本及世界看到台灣許多人對待流浪動物的關懷。
