堪稱甫出爐的今年金馬獎大贏家，大陸電影《八月》出自80後導演張大磊的處女作，這部受台灣新浪潮電影的影響，記錄1990年代大陸國企經歷市場化改革的大潮下，內蒙古小城市裡一戶普通人家的生活瑣事作品，成功構建出跨地域、背景的時代情感共鳴。張大磊認為，在認同民族情感的同時，電影最根本的仍在於呈現痛苦、快樂與幸福。■記者黃阡阡╱綜合報導

即便社會如此變遷，張大磊仍認為，1980年代末期至1990年代的大陸是充滿色彩的，「大人們對於藝術、對美的那種追求是浪漫而且單純的，不會像現在，有人喜歡藝術，可能是作為自己的一種包裝，或是更功利的目的」。

張大磊回想創作《八月》之初時，將鏡頭對準自己從小生活的內蒙古電影製片廠；這段1994年夏天的情景，經常出現在張大磊的腦子裡。於是他下定決心拍攝這段大陸國企改革之初的徬徨日子，除還原自己童年的記憶，也拾起他對父輩的情感。
