There are only two ways for a software or online service company, like Google, Yahoo, and Windows, can resist the cyber attacks from China. One is to continuously improve its firewall capability faster than the attackers. The other is to quit the world market, not just China’s.
This is why I couldn’t get a point of Google’s quitting announcement on last Tuesday. It doesn’t make any sense. For anyone who has basic computing education concept, would know it’s impossible to demand people (from China or any other countries) NOT to write hacking software or exercise the virus they have created because it’s part of the process how we learn to defence ourselves for harming online virus.
As to the censorship regarding the human rights or IP protection, COME ON, how much Google has paid for the knowledge and ideas from people don’t mind to share freely? It’s a sin to charge so much when most of the materials the sellers apply are Free of charge… and Does people of the U.S. have the “LEGAL” right to betray the great country?
So what the actual reason would be?
對於軟體服務公司—如Google、Yahoo、微軟之流，只有兩種方法可以抵擋來自中國的駭客攻擊，一是不斷提昇自己的網路防禦技術；二是退出地球（不光是中國）市場。只要有一點電算教育概念的人，就能明白根本不能要求任何（國家的）人，不寫或不發動病毒或駭客攻擊，因為那可是學會寫防毒系統的必經過程。
至於言論管制或智慧財產權，我只能說這不是美國說的就算的，特別是跟他們收費的標準比起來，他們真的是付的太少了。
那真正的原因是啥？我認為有兩個主要的可能。首先，我認為是擔心中國對相關技術的追趕，快過他們原先的預期。我在外商工作的期間，公司對我的教育是沒有保留的，但是，因為我有許多別的領域可從事，所以，沒有投效過公司的競爭對手。然而，中國畢竟是一個人民選擇非常有限的國家，所以，每個員工訓練計畫，可能都是在壯大自己未來的敵人。
第二個原因是，Google 已經找到取代中國當地員工生產力的方法，是什麼呢？懶得說明，自己想不出來的人請放棄本文。
至於Google說的那些大概只有香港人才會被感動的「道德問題 Don’t be Evil.」。我認為留在中國才是真正的道德，因為，後者對Google造成的長期利益損失，才是真正的巨大，然而，損失利益的同時，可能真正的解放中國。
自由與人權的價值，就像「The elephant in the small living」，被人充分理解並追求，只是時間問題，更何況，誰能說那不是中國未來發展的方向？然而，不在其位不司其政，中國的內政問題，必須他們按自己得步伐前進，不需要外人指指點點，這個道理，Google 不可能不懂。
