Dana Winner was born on 10 February 1965 in Hasselt Belgium, in a family with five kids. Her singing career started as she joined the local church choir and later on puts herself up for a sound mix competition, and wins. This is when she met Jean Klüger, who decides to be her guide. In 1989 Dana Winner scored her first hit with “Op het dak van de wereld”, her version of the 70s Carpenters classic On top of the world.
